The Dossier — people, money, records

Follow the money. It's a short walk.

Everything the website leaves out, pulled from MCA filings, Zauba, Tracxn and the funding press: who runs Althion, who paid for it, who works there, who they're actually up against, and how the exit maths (doesn't) work.

Exhibit E — the founder

One man. Three boards. One dashboard.

Per MCA records

Every roast needs a protagonist. Ours has a Director Identification Number.

Smart money. Slow product. Shrinking revenue.

Tracxn / Inc42

Nine years, three rounds, $590K. Then revenue fell 68% in the year the money landed. Below: the cap table story, the numbers, and a calculator so you can find the valuation that makes this make sense.

Nobody 'pending'

Althion's homepage positions it against nobody, which is convenient, because the actual category is full of century-old conglomerates, Chinese OEMs shipping CE-marked units next week, and Indian RO shops that publish prices.

Exhibit I — the exit plan

Raise $1M. Exit at $10M. Skip the part where customers happen.

Satirical projection

The rumour mill says the next raise is $1M and the target is a $10M strategic exit. We can't verify the plan — but we can verify the arithmetic, and the arithmetic is the roast.

Rs 0 Cr

Exit ÷ FY25 revenue

64x even on the FY24 peak

The alleged five-step master plan

  1. 1

    Raise $1M

Roughly Rs 8.3 Cr — more than the company has raised in its entire nine-year life, to build the same 40 tabletop units.

  2. 2

    File IP with impressive titles

A patent title is free. A patent that a buyer's diligence team respects costs nine years of publishing methodology. Guess which one is on the roadmap.

  3. 3

Book revenue that looks better in a deck than in a bank

FY25 revenue: Rs 41.7 L. Deck revenue: 'pipeline of Rs 12 Cr across 40+ institutional installs'. Pick your reality.

  4. 4

Find a strategic acquirer at $10M

That's Rs 83 Cr. On FY25 numbers, roughly a 200x revenue multiple. Fresenius trades at about 1.5x.

  5. 5

    Exit. LinkedIn post. Founder-coaching career.

The only step with a realistic chance of shipping on time.

Parody, not an allegation. We have no evidence of fabricated revenue or fraudulent IP at Althion. The joke is simpler: a $10M exit on Rs 41.7 lakh of revenue only pencils out if you assume the deck, not the bank statement, is the product.

Exit-pitch bingo

Mark every buzzword you'd expect in the investor deck. Five in a row closes the round.

Exit alert — level REDFor LPs, angels & nominee directors

Investor exit alert: the window is the deck, not the market.

Eight red flags scored from public filings. Flag score: 20/20. Every flag is lit.

  • Money in, revenue out. Whatever the round funded, it wasn't sales.

Five questions before the next cheque

  1. 01Ask for the monthly revenue ledger, not the pipeline slide.
  2. 02Ask which customers from the Delhi HC submission are referenceable today.
  3. 03Ask for the ARMS controller BOM and firmware provenance.
  4. 04Ask what the CE/BIS file number is and when it was last updated.
  5. 05Ask whether the $1M bridges to revenue or to the next 'funding alert'.
Founder confidence is not a financial instrument. If the exit thesis needs a 200x multiple, a five-year-pending certificate and a court win to work, the smart-money move is the one Althion's marketing never makes: publish the numbers, then decide.

Exhibit L — the court case

When the product can't qualify, call the lawyer.

Petition dismissed

Althion's most detailed public disclosure about its own scale is not on althion.in. It is in a writ petition against the Government of India, filed to force open a tender the company was forty-four times too small for.

W.P.(C) 9110/2026 — Althion Tech Innovations Pvt. Ltd. v. Union of India, 2026:DHC:6904-DB

Dismissed, 20 August 2026, Delhi High Court (Division Bench)

Turnover: Rs 75 L. Bar: Rs 33 Cr.

Althion challenged an Armed Forces Medical Services tender for 13 hemodialysis RO plants because it required an OEM turnover of Rs 33 crore. Althion's own turnover, per its petition: about Rs 75 lakh. The court declined to lower the bar for critical medical infrastructure and dismissed the petition.

Read the judgment
On record

Tender OEM turnover floor: Rs 33 crore (already cut from Rs 48 crore). Althion's declared turnover: ~Rs 75.22 lakh.

Roast

Forty-four times short on the eligibility criteria, so the go-to-market strategy became a writ petition. Some companies grow into tenders. Others sue them.

On record

The respondent was the Union of India — specifically the Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services.

Roast

Nothing says 'trust our dialysis water' like dragging the Army's doctors to the Delhi High Court because they wanted a supplier with a track record.

On record

Argument: as a micro-enterprise, Althion should get relaxation and purchase preference under the MSE clause.

Roast

The 'IoT-enabled medtech innovator' from the homepage becomes a 'micro-enterprise deserving relaxation' the moment a lawyer drafts the paragraph. Pick a costume.

On record

The court held that MSE purchase preference applies only after meeting mandatory eligibility, and that a turnover floor is rationally connected to reliability in critical medical infrastructure.

Roast

Translation from the bench: prove the product and the scale first, then ask for preference. The exact advice this roast has been giving for free.

On record

The petition is where the '40+ installations at AIIMS, CMC Vellore, Tata Memorial' claim lives — in counsel's submissions, not on the website.

Roast

The most persuasive customer list Althion has ever published was billed at senior-counsel rates and addressed to a judge.

A founder confident in the product enters the tender he qualifies for and grows into the one he doesn't. A founder confident in his lawyer files a writ. The Delhi High Court has now put on record which one showed up.

Source: Delhi High Court judgment dated 20 Aug 2026 (Justices V. Kameswar Rao and Manmeet P.S. Arora), as reported by Verdictum and Court Kutchehry. Roast is opinion.

Exhibit M — the capital treadmill

Nine years on the government-adjacent treadmill.

6 public logos, 0 customer logos

No names, no insinuations — just the public record of how Althion was financed, recognised and listed by the Indian state for the better part of a decade, and how that relationship ended up in a courtroom. Every step below is documented. The pattern is the roast.

How the treadmill works

  1. 01 Win a grant or an award from a public body.
  2. 02 Put the logo on the homepage as proof of traction.
  3. 03 Use the logo to win the next grant or award.
  4. 04 Repeat until a private investor mistakes logos for revenue.
